In Bari’s Madonnella neighbourhood, in just 45 sqm, colour becomes architecture. Walls and vaulted ceilings are painted in crisp fields of colour – powder blue below, pink and burgundy above – following the curve of the vault and even redrawing the arch of the window.

Underfoot, a black terrazzo floor with large pale pebbles unifies the rooms, while a long custom bench in light wood runs along the wall and hosts a table topped with pink tiles and black grout, paired with transparent chairs. The bathroom, clad in burgundy tiles with a rounded relief and lit by a rosy glow, completes a playful, personal project that deliberately breaks the rules.
