A home made of material, light and memory, in the heart of Bari’s Murattiano district.

In this penthouse we set out to create a contemporary space without making it impersonal, letting the materials – together with objects chosen over time – tell the story of those who live here. A continuous white resin creates a neutral, luminous backdrop against which the open-pore white oak of the custom furniture, finished with fine ribbed grooves, and the strength of stone stand out. Arabescato Orobico marble becomes almost a sculpture in the guest bathroom basin; travertine and Verde Guatemala turn the master bathroom into a more tactile space, as if carved from rock. In the kitchen, blue glass and mirrors bring a lighter dimension of reflections and light.

We paired this very contemporary base with vintage pieces, artworks and collected objects, avoiding an overly designed image. The result is a home of 90 sqm indoors and 40 sqm of terraces with a character of its own: contemporary yet lived-in, essential yet never cold.
