Inside Villa Rosa, a white villa built in 1932 on the Bari seafront, a short walk from the Fiera del Levante, MHEAT is a steakhouse told through three different atmospheres, held together by a single idea: fire and familiarity.
Outside, a wide pale-stone staircase rises towards the villa and opens onto a light-filled garden: long stone benches with red-and-white striped cushions, vertical-louvre sunscreens, Mediterranean plants and ceramic pumi resting on the parapets as small signs of welcome. Inside, the light changes key: deep, textured green walls, black velvet armchairs, a long copper-coloured bench with a Greek-key motif, gilded sconces and large crystal chandeliers wrapped in orange drapes. In the butcher’s shop, the oak counter, white tiles and red frames stage the meat, while above, on a glazed mezzanine, the wine cellar lights up the bottles with a warm glow.
