In the Itria Valley, in the Chiobbica district, among olive trees, dry-stone walls and the cones of trulli on the horizon, an Ostuni torretta comes back to life as a country house. The lime-white volumes, the outdoor stairs rising to the terraces, the chimneys and the vaulted interiors tell of a rural architecture made of thick walls and shadows, which the project chose to respect and leave centre stage.

Around it, two hectares of land become a sequence of outdoor rooms: a gravel courtyard shaded by olive trees, a wisteria pergola framing the 40 sqm pool surrounded by a stone sun deck, a wide portico with white columns and wooden beams for lunches in the shade, and an evening lounge carved into the white, with masonry benches around a fire pit.
